In their formation Rastoke is an introduction to the Plitvice Lakes. In contrast to these lakes Rastoke are special because the lush greenery on the islets and rocks in front of three hundred years of village entwined with many millers. What is the nature thousands of years, a man later adapting to natural conditions, with surrounding rocks, old forts and small Slunj fits nicely into a unified whole. This unique blend of historical, ethnographic and architectural heritage Rastoke 1969th was entered in the Register of Immovable Monuments of Culture of the Regional Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments in Zagreb.
